Sonifying snails: Sonica sound art festival comes to London

Sonifying snails: Sonica sound art festival comes to London

This weekend, 176 snails will travel to London as part of Sonica 2018 - a two-day sound art festival. As one of four installations, French artists Elizabeth Saint-Jalmes and Cyril Leclerc will harness the snails with a small diode and create an immersive sensory environment.

Sonica 2018 takes place at Kings Place, London, and features work from the likes of Heather Lander, Robert Bentall, Kathy Hinde. The sonic installations cover themes of time, technology, and climate change.

More information can be found on the Kings Place website here. Sonica 2018 runs from 20th - 21st April.
